Eligibility Note: This privacy policy applies exclusively to users aged 18 and older. Individuals under the age of 18 are prohibited from accessing or using the Meprix application and its video compression services.

1. Introduction & Policy Scope

This Privacy Policy is formulated by the operator of Meprix (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”) to explain how we collect, store, use, protect, and disclose user information generated during your use of the Meprix video compression application (hereinafter referred to as the “App”).

This policy applies to all users who download, install, access, and use the App’s core functions, including video uploading and video compression processing. By using our services, you confirm that you are an adult over 18 years of age and fully agree to the information processing rules stipulated in this policy. If you do not accept any part of this policy, you must cease all use of the App immediately.

This policy serves as an independent supplementary legal document to the Meprix User Agreement and governs all data and privacy-related behaviors of this service.

2. Age Restriction & Minor Protection

The Meprix App is a mature tool service only available for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 18 years old, nor do we allow minors to register or use our video compression services.

You warrant that you are of legal adult age when using our services. If we identify or are notified that a minor has provided personal information and used our services, we will immediately delete the minor’s relevant data, terminate service access permissions, and take permanent blocking measures. We assume no responsibility for any data problems caused by unauthorized minor access.

3. Information We Collect

We only collect minimal and necessary information to support the normal operation of the video compression service, and we will never collect any sensitive information without user authorization. The information we collect is limited to the following categories:

3.1 Service Operation Information

When you upload videos and use compression functions, we will temporarily obtain operation data including video file basic attributes (file size, format, resolution), service operation records, and compression parameter settings. Such data is only used to execute your compression requests and ensure the normal output of compressed video files.

3.2 Equipment & Log Information

To stabilize service operation and solve technical faults, we will automatically record basic device information when you access the App, including device model, operating system version, network type, and App operation crash logs. This information cannot locate your personal specific identity and will not be associated with your private information.

3.3 Active Feedback Information

If you take the initiative to contact us via the official email to put forward suggestions, feedback or complaints, we will collect the contact information and content you actively provide to complete follow-up communication and problem handling.

4. How We Use Collected Information

All collected user information will only be used for legitimate service purposes announced by us, and we will not use user data for any undisclosed commercial or illegal purposes. The specific usage scenarios are as follows:

• Execute user-initiated video uploading and compression tasks, complete intelligent video processing, and ensure the normal realization of core service functions;

• Optimize App compression algorithms, improve service stability, compression efficiency and user operation experience;

• Troubleshoot technical failures, repair system bugs, and maintain the normal operation of App functions;

• Respond to user consultation, feedback and service demands, and complete after-sales service processing;

• Comply with legal supervision requirements and respond to official legal procedures and requests.

5. Data Storage & Cleanup Rules

Meprix adheres to the principle of “temporary processing, no redundant storage” for user video data, which is different from conventional cloud storage services. All user uploaded original videos and compressed videos are processed in real time:

After you complete the video compression operation and successfully save the compressed file to your local device, our server will automatically clear the corresponding original video data and compressed video cache data within a short period. We will not actively store, back up or archive your video files for a long time.

Only operation logs and non-identifiable device data required for system maintenance will be retained for a limited time, and such data will be regularly cleaned and destroyed after the expiration of the retention period.

We will not transfer, sell or lease your video data and personal information to any third parties without your explicit written consent.

6. Information Security Protection Measures

We have established a complete data security protection system for the App’s video processing business. We adopt encrypted transmission, isolated processing, temporary cache and other technical means to prevent user data from leakage, tampering, theft and loss during transmission and processing.

We set up strict internal data access permissions. Only designated technical operation personnel can access non-private service data for maintenance purposes, and all access behaviors are recorded and supervised.

You understand that the Internet environment and electronic equipment have inherent security risks. We will try our best to ensure data security, but we cannot guarantee absolute security of network transmission and electronic storage.

7. Third-Party Service & Data Sharing

The core video compression service of Meprix does not access any third-party service interfaces, nor does it share user data with any third-party merchants, institutions or individuals.

In the event of mandatory data disclosure required by national laws, regulations or judicial and administrative authorities, we will disclose user information in strict accordance with legal requirements, and will not exceed the legal scope to disclose any user private data.

8. User Rights & Data Control

As a user of our services, you have the following legitimate rights to control your information:

• Right of Inquiry: You can consult us about the type, scope and usage of your data processed by the App;

• Right of Deletion: You can apply to delete your service operation records and cached data through our official contact channel;

• Right of Withdrawal of Consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent to our data processing at any time. After withdrawal, we will stop processing your data, and you may not be able to continue to use part or all of the App functions;

• Right of Complaint: If you think our data processing behavior violates this policy or relevant laws, you can file a complaint through our official email.

9. Policy Update & Notification

We reserve the right to update and adjust this privacy policy in accordance with service iteration, technical upgrade and national legal changes. The updated policy will be released on the App official page, with the latest update date marked at the top of the policy.

Your continued use of the Meprix video compression service after the policy update is deemed as your acceptance of the revised privacy policy. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you shall stop using the service immediately.
